Introduction

Lynk Car provides an online car-sharing platform connecting vehicle owners (“hosts”) with renters (“guests”) via our website and mobile applications (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our associated Policies, which form a binding legal agreement where Lynk Car acts as an intermediary. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time; your continued use of the Services after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms, with your sole recourse being to close your account within 30 days.

Eligibility

To use Lynk Car, guests must satisfy all local legal requirements and meet our specific eligibility criteria, including age and driver’s license status, for the location of the booking. Hosts must be at least 21 years old to list a vehicle, with the exception of the United Kingdom and France, where the minimum age for hosts is 18 years. Use of the Services by anyone who does not meet these requirements is strictly prohibited.

Registration

To access most features, you must create a Lynk Car Account by providing your name, email, and phone number, or by linking a third-party account like Google or Apple. You are required to provide accurate and complete information during registration and must keep your account details updated at all times. Depending on your profile and history, we may require additional steps before a trip starts, such as a security deposit, payment authorization, or the purchase of a specific protection plan.

Verification

Lynk Car reserves the right to perform background checks and screenings to verify your identity, driving history, and insurance score via third-party services. While we facilitate the connection, hosts are solely responsible for ensuring their vehicles are safe, legally registered, mechanically sound, and free of any safety recalls or 'branded' titles. We do not personally endorse the roadworthiness of any vehicle; however, we may refuse any request to book or list a vehicle at our sole discretion to maintain platform safety.

Fees and Payments

For Guests, all costs and fees are clearly itemized at checkout, allowing you to review the total amount before submitting a trip request. For Hosts, earnings and fee breakdowns are always available in the Host Hub. By providing a payment method, you authorize Lynk Car to store your credentials to cover trip costs, security deposits, late fees, or claims. If your card expires or is replaced, our processors may update your info automatically to ensure balances are settled. If we cannot process a refund to your original card, we reserve the right to issue travel credit instead.

Collection of Fees: If you owe a balance to Lynk Car, we and our service providers may use all legal means to collect it, including using collection agencies or legal counsel. We may also report missed or late payments to credit bureaus, which could negatively impact your credit score. Delinquent accounts or disputed charges (chargebacks) will also be subject to additional collection fees, convenience fees, and third-party charges.

Taxes: In specific regions, Lynk Car will calculate, collect, and pay taxes on behalf of guests and hosts as required by local law. These amounts will be clearly stated on your trip invoices. Where LynkCar handles these taxes, hosts are strictly prohibited from charging those same taxes separately. To comply with international digital platform regulations, we are required to report gross earnings to tax authorities annually, and you consent to receive all necessary tax documentation from us electronically.

Commitments

You agree to use your Lynk Car Account and the Services in full compliance with these Terms, local laws, and our platform policies. As the account owner, you are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your profile, whether authorized by you or not. You must keep your password secure, never share it with third parties, and immediately notify Lynk Car of any suspected unauthorized access. We are not liable for any losses resulting from your failure to protect your account details or for delays in securing your account if unauthorized use is not promptly reported.

Prohibited Activities

In connection with your use of or access to the Services, you agree that you will not, nor advocate, encourage, request, or assist any third party to

Legal Compliance and Integrity: You must not violate any laws, including tax, airport, or registration regulations, nor post false or defamatory content. It is strictly prohibited to infringe on Lynk Car’s intellectual property or harm our brand through unauthorized use of our name or trademarks. You agree never to submit false information regarding your identity, driving history, or insurance claims, nor impersonate others or create accounts for third parties.

Commitments and Transactions: Users must honor all financial obligations, including fees and penalties, and ensure vehicles are delivered or returned on time. You are prohibited from bypassing the Lynk Car platform to complete transactions 'off-book' (gray market) to avoid service fees. Additionally, you must never leave a vehicle unlocked or running with the keys inside unless specifically instructed by our team for a coordinated handover.

Community Safety and Conduct: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, stalking, physical or verbal abuse, or the unauthorized sharing of another user's private information. Discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or origin is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate account termination. You agree to use the platform only for its intended purpose and not for recruiting users to competitive services or unrelated commercial ventures.
